Arsene Wenger reminded us of his genius at Wembley with vital extra-time substitution



Arsene Wenger is a gambler. Each week he places a bet that his Arsenal team will be able to win a match the hardest way possible. Playing beautifully. He doesn’t exist on the counter, he doesn’t park two buses, or even one, and sometimes he comes  horribly, and humiliatingly, unstuck. He loses finals, important games. He is mocked as a failure, he concedes six at Stamford Bridge. And then, in a Wembley minute on Saturday, we catch sight of his genius.
